SECOND TENURE CAMPAIGN PROMISES 2003 – 2007

Description

  1. Healthcare Expansion: Building upon first-term successes, he promised to establish additional general hospitals and enhance the "Jigi Bola" (Free Eye Treatment/Glasses) initiative.
  2. Education and Housing: Continuing free education programs and initiating new housing projects (such as in Iponri and Igbogbo) to address urban housing shortages.
  3. Security: Launching the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) to involve the private sector in funding security infrastructure, strengthening the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

Tinubu won the 2003 election with a promise to build upon these foundations, ultimately positioning Lagos as a, then, emerging megacity.
